Stockdale & Leggo are one of the largest real estate businesses on Phillip Island offering holiday rentals and sales and rental property management in both residential and commercial segments.
The Challenge
Stockdale & Leggo were looking for a trusted partner that could advise on and run ‘anything information technology (IT) related’ from setting up laptops, computers, printers, mobile phones and managing databases and upgrades.
Also, a key ingredient for Stockdale & Leggo was a technology provider who understood the web.
‘Given that the majority of our business comes from the web and our web-based systems are critical to our business, we needed someone who understood this environment and was willing to work with the existing arrangements we had in place’, said Russell Muir, Licensed Estate Agent and General Manager.
The process
Acting as a virtual IT department for Stockdale & Leggo, purpleC provide an ongoing service for a fixed monthly price through a managed agreement called Client Connect.
Taking advantage of Client Connect, Stockdale & Leggo know they don’t have to worry about things like upgrades as purpleC are proactively monitoring their system and alert them about any changes required.
When it comes to support, purpleC are just an email or phone call away and they can fix most things for Stockdale & Leggo quickly, usually without the need to visit on-site.
Russell has experienced purpleC’s professional standard, which is a high level and in synch with what Stockdale & Leggo is also striving for.
‘Near enough is not good enough in our view and purpleC thankfully don’t have this mentality which gives us a good team-orientated bond with them’, he explained.
The Result
Stockdale & Leggo rely heavily on information technology 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The efficiencies that the technology has provided mean that more time is available for customers. As well as growing business, the level of customer service that they provide has also increased.
‘Having reliable technology that is easy for us to access even when we are not in the office means that we can get back to people quicker,’ said Russell.
‘Ultimately leaving technology experts to support us with key functions such as trust management, marketing and database management means we can focus on our area of expertise which is selling real estate for people’.
